Geologic Time Scale

I created this history of the earth to show a whole bunch of cool stuff on one page: the names and relationships of all those blasted ages; the etymology of their names; their standard symbol; how far back they are in millions of years; the plants and animals common at that time; and, major geologic events of that period.

This is a JPEG image that doesn't show or download well. If you'd like a copy, head to the bottom of the page where you can download a high quality PDF. Next to it is the GeoAgeFullAlpha True Type font with all the odd geologic symbols. To use this font requires the use of Character Map in Windows or Character Viewer on the Mac to find the desired symbol.
